In the past few months, thousands of people from war torn as well as major crisis areas have fled to Germany to start a new life. Germans want to help many of these refugees as quickly as possible to start working and earning a living, leading to a sense of prosperity in their new home. Unfortunately there are many basic obstacles to getting a work permit. Refugees need to note that they must provide evidence for their asylum application and after their asylum is approved they must provide paperwork supporting their work history in order to enter the labor market in Germany. There are also various deadlines throughout the asylum application process that must be observed to insure continued compliance with German law.
321work! Wants to help refugees make their way into the German professional world. To ensure this the app shows the conditions that have to be met if one wants to work in Germany. The process that refugees must go through is broken down into several phases and with in each phase there are tasks listed to further simplify getting to their goal. These can be used as TO DO items and checked off once each item is completed, creating a visual marker of the user's progress towards eventually getting a work permit and finding job.
321work! was initially proposed within the framework of the Hackathon Freiburg 2016 . Research and development was done by the 321hack team.
